IFWG is extremely pleased to have globally released Garry Fay‘s dark fantasy novel, Crowhand, the first of his The Sinistral Cycle.
“Fay’s novel is a wonderful fit for our fantasy offerings,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director IFWG, “as we get few quality dark fantasy (and in this case, somewhat Grimdark) manuscripts cross our desk. In Fay’s case, it was a perfect fit and we are very happy to finally see it hit the retail network. We believe readers will lap up this hefty book and cry out for more…which we will gladly oblige in 2027.”
Words cut deeper than knives.
Quill is the celebrated eulogist of the Silver Tear Mourning Company. Coerced into a tournament of funeral rites for a disgraced nobleman, he delivers his oration in an outlawed language which awakens the spirit of a murdered kinswoman. Through the spirit he discovers the existence of Lankiya, a young woman raised to be the human vessel of an exiled god seeking vengeance on the land that shunned him.
Born into a life of silence and solitude and denied a voice of her own, Lankiya’s only means of communication is through the scribing of the final messages of those who have passed beyond the veils of death. After coming in contact with an object belonging to a long dead seer, she is just about to reveal the woman’s final prophecy when her ability to deliver the message is taken from her.
It falls to Quill and his companion Daskinor, the last remaining knight of a mystical order, to aid Lankiya in regaining the ability to give words to the dead and save the land from the wrath a vengeful god.
Crowhand is available in all quality online and bricks and mortar bookstores, in print and ebook formats. Most links to retailers can be found here. NOTE: There will be a short delay before stock is available for Australian and New Zealand retailers.
