IFWG Authors at Adelaide Supanova-ComicCon

We were pleased to have our authors, Barbara J. Rosie and Sarah Neilson, attend Adelaide Supanova-ComicCon last weekend (30 October to 1 November 2026). By all accounts there were a lot of attendees and Sarah and Barb had a great time.

I was very excited to be invited to Supernova 2026 – Adelaide this year, representing IFWG with fellow author S.K Neilson. I had the pleasure of being on an author panel on Friday 30th, joining Alina Bellchambers and Christy Anne Jones to talk about Where Stories Begin. We chatted about what it takes to turn imagination into a story, where we find inspiration and our experiences in bringing those stories to life. I felt very fortunate to be given the opportunity to talk about how current events can spark ideas for stories that are set in worlds that are certainly not of our time.

Supernova is an amazing event, celebrating the worlds of film and television, fantasy, comic books, anime, sci-fi, books, gaming – the list goes on!  With a huge variety of exhibitors, artists, and guest speakers, and of course cosplay, I’m always so impressed by the effort people go to with their costumes.  There were some fantastic Lord of the Rings inspired outfits among many, many others!

Sarah and I were fortunate to be seated next to TV actor and presenter, Lincoln Lewis, who kept us entertained on Saturday and Sunday. He was definitely a fan favourite and kindly had his photo taken with me.

Thank you to the lovely readers who bought my books or simply came for a chat, I very much appreciate you all.

Thanks also to Supernova, the staff and volunteers are so kind, and do a wonderful job assisting guests and visitors over this massive three-day event. And of course, thanks to IFWG for the opportunity, hopefully we can do it all again next year!

Sarah’s latest novel, Singing Down the Sky, can be purchased online in multiple formats HERE.
