IFWG is very pleased to announce the acquisition of Sydney-based Nathan Burrage’s collection of speculative short fiction, Almost Human. “This new contract,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of IFWG, “was an easy decision. Our submissions editors loved it, as do I. Burrage is a seasoned, talented writer, and it is beautifully represented in his collection of fiction, no small portion original to the upcoming collection.”
Nathan Burrage lives in Sydney with his wife and two daughters. He is the author of FIVEFOLD, a supernatural thriller first published by Random House Australia in 2008. FIVEFOLD was subsequently translated into Russian and released as Code of Kabbalah, and is still available as an ebook on Amazon and other digital book platforms.
In 2005, Nathan graduated from Clarion South, a six-week residential writing program based on the famous Clarion workshops in the United States. It’s fair to say he’s never been the same since.
In 2011, Nathan was Co-Convenor of the Aurealis Awards, which resulted in them being hosted in Sydney for the first time. He remained on the Organising Committee in 2012 and 2013.
Nathan has over twenty short story credits, and has been shortlisted for both the Aurealis Awards and the Ditmar Awards. He is represented by the John Jarrold Literary Agency and is at work on a new Fantasy series, as well as a side project for his youngest daughter.
Almost Human will be released world-wide late in 2022.
