We have previously announced the acquisition of a ‘what if’ anthology, titled ‘Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not’, edited by Christopher Sequeira. The premise is simple enough; what if Sherlock Holmes had a different offsider than Doctor Watson?
This anthology is a collaboration between IFWG Publishing International and IFWG Publishing Australia, and will be released world-wide on the 14th of June 2019. We are proud to present the front cover, by the talented Luke Spooner of Carrion House, a long-standing artist and designer with IFWG.
As a reminder, the table of contents is as follows:
Leslie S. Klinger Foreword: ‘Sherlock Amongst the Doctors’
Christopher Sequeira Watson in ‘The Final Prologue’
Dennis O’Neil Doc Holliday
Nancy Holder Dr John Seward
Will Murray Dr Herbert West
Ron Fortier Dr Amelia Van Helsing
Rafe McGregor Dr Grimesby Roylott
Andrew Salmon Dr Conan Doyle
I. A. Watson Dr John Dee

This anthology is truly blessed by great writers in this specialised field.
Stay tuned for preorder arrangements, as well as pre-release sales in a few Australian conventions.
IFWG is pleased to announce the release of The Hidden City by David Bowles, the third book in the Garza Twins middle grade series. Bowles continues his story of the adventurous twins and more importantly, continues providing much-needed Mexican-American literature for young teenage readers. Wonderful artwork and design again by Charlene Bowles.
When Carol and Johnny learn of the Ollamat, an ancient stone that can channel savage magic, they convince their parents to take them to the cloud forests of Oaxaca. With Pingo’s help, they search for the legendary city where it has been protected for a thousand years.
But the twins aren’t the only ones hunting for the Ollamat. After it is stolen, they must travel through an emerald mirror into the beautiful yet dangerous Tlalocan: the paradise of the rain god. To retrieve the stone, they must face talking apes and forest elementals, rock worms and vicious elves, demons of lightning and something even more unexpected: the souls of people they have watched die.
As always, they are aided by allies old and new, though nothing can quite prepare them for the biggest foe of all – a member of their very family.
The Hidden City is available in all good bricks and mortar and online book stores, in print and ebook formats.
IFWG Publishing is very pleased to announce the release of MF Burbaugh‘s third book in the We Were Legends series, Camelot II. Burbaugh is a long-standing author with IFWG and has produced fantasy and science fiction (and novel cross-genre variants) of high imagination and unique world building. The We Were Legends series is vast and ambitious, and readers would need to read the first two volumes to make sense of this third…but it’s worth it.
Available now in Amazon, and all good retailers, online and bricks and mortar. The ebook version will be available within a week.
Jake Spoonbill, once a NASA pilot, later King and savior of a planet called Camelot, has been swept over centuries in cycles of reincarnation, along with his legendary Amazon wives, and the catalyst of what made him a champion of the downtrodden and sex-god, the Bronze Goddess. He has learned that nothing happens by chance, as he is periodically ‘awakened’ to rejoin with his army of sword-wielding wives to fight civilization’s direst of enemies.
In Camelot II Jake is once again awakened and journeys across the galaxy to reform his legendary force, and retrace the complex strands of events that had taken place in previous adventures. He soon discovers that the ancient enemies were not entirely destroyed centuries before…and where one tyrant is toppled, another takes its place.
Join Jake in the third instalment of We Were Legends, and experience more of MF Burbaugh’s unique, fascinating universe.
IFWG Publishing is delighted to announce the signing of the third and last instalment of Canadian author Jesse McMinn‘s Tower series, Archsage.
We have had a long association with this talented writer, and in fact Jesse was still in College when he handed his first manuscript over to us. It was a refreshing, innovative approach to epic fantasy as well as parallel worlds. Following the publishing of Loria (book 1), came Trials, which showed Jesse wasn’t a one-hit wonder, and left us all on tenterhooks for the final instalment of the trilogy.
We look forward to releasing Archsage in June 2018.
Jesse McMinn is a Canadian writer, programmer and fantasy enthusiast who is drawn to creativity in all of its forms. After spending much of 2015 travelling Europe and Asia, he moved back to his home province of Ontario, Canada, where he currently lives and works.
One of the enjoyable series that IFWG International publishes, is the Dillon the Monster Dick series by Canadian writer, Shaun Meeks. His series is a unique blend of horror, weird, detective noir and Dr Who (if you can believe it – believe it and buy them and see).
We previously published two books, The Gate at Lake Drive and Earthbound and Down, and fans of the series look forward to the next instalment, Altered Gate, scheduled for release in August 2018. We are pleased to have signed this book with Shaun.
Shaun Meeks lives in Toronto, Ontario with his partner, Mina LaFleur, where they own and operate their own corset company L’Atelier de LaFleur. Shaun is the author of The Dillon the Monster Dick series (Earthbound and Down and The Gate at Lake Drive), as well as Maymon, Shutdown and Down on the Farm. He has published more than 50 short stories; the most recent appearing in The Best of the Horror Zine, Midian Unmade: Tales of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed, Dark Moon Digest, Rouge Nation, Shrieks and Shivers from The Horror Zine, Zippered Flesh 2, Of Devils & Deviants and Fresh Fear. His short stories have been collected in At the Gates of Madness, Dark Reaches and Brother’s Ilk (with James Meeks).
IFWG Publishing has been fortunate to have published a number of books by Florida-based Louis K Lowy, and we’re always pleasantly surprised by the variety of styles and subject matter that he comes up with. Acquiring the rights to his latest novel, The Second Life of Eddie Coyne was a no brainer – an amazing story of a dying gambler who takes on a bet for the ultimate prize—a chance to save his soul. Fans of Lowy will love it; anyone who loves thoughtful, imaginative speculative fiction will adore it.
We are scheduling its release for October 2018.
Louis K. Lowy is a former firefighter with the city of Hialeah, Florida. He is the author of three books published by IFWG Publishing International: Die Laughing, a humorously dark science fiction adventure set in the 1950s, Pedal, an inspirational tale of a 49-year-old music teacher who loses her job and struggles to reclaim her life through bicycle racing, and To Dream (Book 1 in the Anatomy of a Humachine series), a science fiction tour de force spanning two centuries and crossing two planets.
Lowy is the recipient of a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship and an alumnus of Florida International University’s creative writing program. He lives in South Florida with his wife, Carol, and their daughter, Katie. Their son, Chris, resides on the west coast.

We know a lot of fans have been waiting for Book 3 of the Garza Twins series by David Bowles, The Hidden City. It will be released in Q2 2018, which may disappoint some, but at the least we can reveal the front cover – yet another fantastic design and artwork by Charlene Bowles.
