New Release: Altered Gate, by Shaun Meeks

Front cover Altered Gate

It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce the release of Shaun Meeks‘ latest book in his Lovecraftian/Noir Detective series, Dillon the Monster Dick, Altered Gate. “We are delighted to have another instalment of Shaun’s series released,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of IFWG, “and to continue the cover style and design with the amazing Steve Santiago. This is a unique storyline, and mixes so effectively humour with dark, cosmic evil. I think of noir detective stories, of Men in Black, of the masters of Weird fiction… and yet it is none of them at the same time. You’ve got to read the series to understand.”

Everyone’s favorite Monster Dick is back, but the hunt has changed. After a video of Dillon fighting a monster goes viral, the hunter’s world gets turned upside down. He’s become a celebrity of sorts, but he’s also garnered the attention of his higher ups, the Collective.

As his actions are put under a microscope and every move he makes is being watched and judged, Dillon heads to Niagara Falls to help a realtor who claims he’s being haunted by something unearthly. As Dillon looks into the case, questions of reality and madness, truth and lies fly at him from every direction.

Now Dillon isn’t just hunting monsters, but is forced to search for the truth, his own sanity, and an outcome that will allow him to stay on Earth with Rouge Hills.

From the author of The Gate at Lake Drive, Earthbound and Down, Maymon and Dark Reaches comes the third book in the Dillon the Monster Dick series.

The trade paperback version of Altered Gate is available now in North America and worldwide in ebook formats.

News: top review of Die Laughing by Louis K Lowy

Die Laughing by Louis K Lowy, is a humorous, and yet poignant, science fiction, set in the 1950s, with gangsters, Las Vegas comedians, femme fatales, and the inevitable alien invaders. Saying much more will only spoil the read.

We’d like to share with you a great, and insightful, review of Lowy’s novel, which will help you decide if you want to purchase – and enjoy – it.

The review can be found here: http://bookthemdanno.blogspot.mx/2015/07/die-laughing-louis-k-lowy.html

Introducing IFWG Publishing’s Children’s Book Catalog

IFWG Publishing is proud of its children’s line of publications. We view children’s taste in fiction as being the source of adult’s love of speculative fiction.

While our Australian/UK Imprint have a strong line of kid’s fiction, we have three titles that cover a wide spectrum of subjects and themes, and each are beautifully illustrated.

Without further ado, here are our children’s titles:

Karl opened the book of maps. Inside, however, there were no maps. There seemed to be…a story!
It began: Through his room window, Karl could see the night was thick, but he could see pinpoints of gold and patches of orange light scattered along the horizon. Soon, thought Karl, he would reach Constellation Station. He had been planning this trip for as long as he could remember and now, finally, his dream would become realized…
Suitable for ages 8 to 12.

Appointment of Marketing Director

It is with pleasure that I announce the appointment of Stephen McCracken as IFWG Publishing’s Marketing Director.

He will take up his role in October/November 2014, however, he will be having an extended vacation in Canada/US/and possibly beyond in August/September, and is hoping to visit some of our authors on his journey.

He is based in Australia (soon, Melbourne, Victoria), and will also have an opportunity to meet the authors in this region of the globe.

IFWG Publishing has been in dire need of a marketer/publicist for its North American/International/Australian/UK operations, as well as SQ Mag, for a long time, and this appointment represents yet another tangible sign of our growth and maturity.

An early welcome to Steve! More details about him will appear in coming months.
