New Signing: Towards White by Zena Shapter

Hot off the heels of the signing of The Locksmith by Barbara Howe, we are extremely pleased to announce the signing of Zena Shapter’s new novel, Towards White.

When Becky’s brother goes missing in Iceland, she doesn’t care that scientists have discovered what happens to us after we die – she just wants her brother back.

Zena Shapter writes from a castle in a flying city hidden by a thundercloud, creating what-if worlds and adventures.

She is the winner of eleven national writing competitions, including a Ditmar Award and the Australian Horror Writers’ Association Award for Short Fiction. Her work has appeared in numerous online and print venues including ‘Midnight Echo’, ‘Award-Winning Australian Writing’ (twice), ‘Antipodean SF’ and Hugo-nominated ‘Sci Phi Journal’.

Upcoming publications include a dark fantasy story “Made” in the “Let Us In” anthology by US publishers Time Alone Press; a science fiction story “Like The Web Of A Swamp Spider” in the anthology “A Fearsome Engine” by NBWG; and a science fiction middle grade novel “Into Tordon” (under the pseudonym Z.F. Kingbolt) by MidnightSun.

She’s the founder and leader of Sydney’s award-winning Northern Beaches Writers’ Group, a book creator and mentor, creative writing tutor, movie buff, traveller, wine lover and all round story nerd.

Stay tuned for more information about her forthcoming novel, which will be released in 2017.
