It is with much emotion that we would like to announce the global release of the final book in Cary J Lenehan’s epic fantasy series (Warriors of Vhast), Fall of the Adversaries.

“Cary is an amazing person with a wide variety of experiences in his life, but none more so than in the fields of imagination – his SCA activities, his game designing, and, of course, his writing. We took him on when his writing was just starting and we believe his rise as a fantasist grew with his time with us, but one feature of his creativity was larger than life right from the beginning: his world-building skills. We are truly amazed (back then with book 1, and even now) at the amount of work he injected into his world – all facets including food, languages, religion, geography, and so much more. We are very aware that the many hundreds of thousands of words that comprise Warriors of Vhast is only the tip of the iceberg of what he has created, and we wish him all the very best in continuing this epic journey.

When we embarked on the Warriors of Vhast journey, the artist was (and remained to the end) UK-based Catherine Archer-Wills. Grace Chan was the designer, and sadly, a few years ago, she tragically passed away. Catherine continued the art and consistent design, all the way to this eighth and last novel. We are forever grateful to her for sticking with us, and presenting such a tableaux of scenes from the series, from the action-packed to the elegant.”
Fall of the Adversaries is the final volume in the Warriors of Vhast series and brings this part of the story to an epic conclusion.
In this book the Princess and her wife the mage, the Cat, the ghazi, the Bishop, and the other residents of the growing village of the Mice increase their influence over the affairs of the continent of The Land and start to have an effect at sea and on other continents as well. As they muster forces from all over, their opponents do the same. Hidden people emerge and it all culminates in mighty contests of magic and of arms.
Fall of the Adversaries is a part of massive and detailed world-building project that adds science fiction to epic fantasy. It is set on a created world that is used as an experiment in the role of magic by a long-lived alien race. Unbeknown to most of those below, the Shing-zu struggle with their foe, the Daveen. Using their proxies these struggles extend into Vhast as a battle between good and evil. Here they reach a decisive conclusion.
