IFWG Publishing International is pleased to announce S.K. Neilson’s debut fantasy novel, Singing Down the Sky, and reveal its wonderful cover.
“We were delighted when we read the manuscript when it was first presented to our subs editor,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of IFWG, “and the end product is a delight. Neilson has written a fantasy novel that has elements of the epic fantasy sub-genre, but is unique in having a setting strongly inspired by the Australian outback, as well as proving interesting twists to gender roles. All in all we are certain readers will thoroughly enjoy reading this title.”
The cover art and design is by Greg Chapman.
Sarah (S.K.) Neilson’s writing is influenced by her experiences living and travelling in rural Australia.
Her themes explore animal behaviour and the human-animal bond, coming from working in the animal industry for 30 years, and with over 40 years’ experience riding and owning horses.
She has an Advanced Diploma of Arts in Professional Writing, is an alumna of Bryce Courtenay and Fiona McIntosh’s masterclasses, and is a member of the Australian Society of Authors.
Her articles have appeared in the Australian Veterinary Nurses Journal. Writing as Faran Silverton, her short stories have been published by Deadset Press, and the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild.
Singing Down the Sky will be globally released on 30 September 2025, available through all good online and bricks and mortar stores, in print and ebook formats.
