IFWG is delighted to reveal the cover of Rebecca Fraser’s upcoming middle grade fantasy novel, Jonty’s Unicorn. It was painted by the amazingly talented artist, Sarah Morrison, based in Boston. Sarah is a multi-award winning artist, including a winner in the Writers and Illustrators of the Future (second quarter 2022) and Judges Choice at the Arisia Art Show (2023). She has already created several covers for IFWG (Dispossessed by Piper Mejia, Masters of Scent and Tumblers of Rolan, both by Michael B. Fletcher).

Jonty’s Unicorn is described by Fraser as “Racing Stripes meets The Brothers Grimm“, which we can’t argue with—it is a pager-turner, and full of excitement, adventure and humour. It has witches, unicorns, magical potions and intrigue. It also has heart. We believe that middle graders of all ages will thoroughly enjoy the adventures of Jonty, as she faces many challenges, both within herself, and the world around her..

Jonty’s Unicorn will be released globally on the 1st April 2024.
