IFWG relies heavily on its talented staff and the most recent appointment is Steven Paulsen, to a Senior Editing role in anthologies (along with our existing Deborah Sheldon and Chris Sequeira). With Sequeira’s move to the demanding Chief Editor, IPI Comics, we required a professional with the requisite skills to focus more time on our weird/fantastical/horror anthologies, and Paulsen perfectly fits the bill.

Paulsen is an experienced writer and editor, having had success in the publishing field for some years, and recently, has had a few titles released through IFWG (Shadows on the Wall – dark fiction collection 2018, and Dream Weaver – young adult historical fantasy Sept 2023).

His bestselling spooky children’s book, The Stray Cat (Lothian/ Hachette), illustrated by Hugo and Oscar Award winning artist Shaun Tan, has seen publication in several English and foreign language editions. His horror, science fiction and dark fantasy short stories, which Jack Dann describes as rocket-fuelled with narrative drive, have appeared in books and magazines around the world.

We welcome Steven to the fold, and look forward to many exciting new anthologies being released in coming years with him at the helm.
