It is with pride and joy that we can announce that Kaaron Warren‘s The Grief Hole has won the Best Novel category of the 2016 Australian Shadows Awards – Australia’s (and beyond) most reliable awards for quality horror and dark fiction. The Grief Hole was a special project for the IFWG team, and a great deal of hard work was put into it – Keely Van Order and her wonderful artwork, Sophie Yorkston for her quality editing, and of course, the actual winner – Kaaron Warren. Congratulations to Kaaron and the team, as well as the other winners and short listed authors in this year’s awards.
